Animal welfare is a shared responsibility and we can improve the welfare of animals in Victoria by using a collaborative approach. A first for Victoria, the Action Plan will be the first of its kind for Victoria. It proposes priority actions for the next five years. To facilitate discussion a Draft Action Plan has been developed and is now open for consultation.

Animal welfare is a high priority for the Victorian Government who have embarked on a number of animal welfare reforms, including the phasing out of puppy farms. The Draft Action Plan has been developed to build on this work.
