Charlie is so much better – his walking is greatly improved and I find it much easier and far less frustrating walking him – using ‘find it’ with a treat when he stops or lies down works very well, but this now rarely happens. He is also much calmer when people ring the door bell and come into the house. We are giving him snuffle boxes which he loves. We have not mastered getting him into the car yet, but he will walk up to it with the door open so that is an improvement.

It’s (Pets4Life website) really informative and I wish I had come across it before we made our hasty decision to get a puppy.

Cathy Beer from Pets4Life Dog Training was a great help for my 8 month old Whippet puppy, Daisy. With Cathy’s help, we were able to improve Daisy’s manners and recall at the dog park. Cathy’s positive reinforcement methods made training fun and enjoyable. Cathy’s personalised approach and knowledge on dog behaviour are excellent. I would highly recommend her services to anyone looking for a professional dog trainer.

We were so desperate for help with our 2 year old boxer, Sharky, who was getting stressed with other dogs and not able to focus on our instructions. Cathy Beer was referred to us by Paws Galore (dog walking/pet minding business) and it was simply a blessing. With private classes at our home, with the dog and all our family, we were able to understand our dog’s needs and reverse the unwanted behaviour. A few sessions with Cathy was necessary to educate us on how to help our dog to relax with toys when we’re not at home and to come when called. We are very happy to have had her tutoring us. It’s a life-long benefit.

I cannot recommend Cathy Beer from Pets4Life Dog Training enough! She has been an absolute lifesaver in helping me with my dog Lola’s separation anxiety. Living in an apartment in Sydney, Lola’s howling was a big concern causing distress to both me and our neighbours. Over several sessions, Cathy’s expertise and dedication shone through as she provided me with effective strategies to keep Lola happily occupied during short periods alone. She also encouraged me to seek veterinary behaviour advice. The combination of anti-anxiety meds and the skills & strategies I learned from Cathy, have had a tremendous positive impact on Lola’s well-being. Thanks to Cathy, Lola is a calmer and happier dog.

Cathy was such a gift with our first RSPCA foster puppy, Monty, the Great Dane. As a 4-month old rescue with no experience of the world or people, he had so much to learn. As it turned out, so did we! Cathy was calm, skilled and effective with her training and tips, following up each session with written reports for later reference, which was great for consistency. She taught us how to teach him foundation skills, good manners and to walk nicely on the lead – crucial qualities for a big, strong dog looking for that forever family. We are so grateful to her for helping Monty be his very best self to find his future loving home.
